WHY DOES RITA WANT TO STUDY?

Rita is a hairdresser who has decided to get an education at the Open University. But what she want was not a good education to get just a better job or more pay,but an education that would open up for her a new world. There were things that she could not understand so she did not enjoy them, such as the ballet and the opera just because of ignorance.

I think that education gives us an opportunity to see that reality has to do with our own perception of the world so we must be able to see and understand news visions that education can provide us.

Hi!
I think that Rita wants to expand her knowledge because she knows that this will enable her to reach another reality. Other people would accept the idea of belonging to a determined social class and continue living that way, but she wants to go further than being a working-class housekeeper for the rest of her life because that wouldn't make her happy. She has always wanted to study, but now she is determined to do it in spite of what her husband and others may think.

Do you remember when last year we discussed "education" could be understood as "instruction", "skill development", or "personal growth", Marucha?

Now, which of these 3 ways of seeing education would enable learners to "change their perceptions of the world"?

Hope you enjoy this play!

LOL,
Gladys

The better you understand yourself the better you understand others. You have to have a self improvement plan for your personal development and growth. And then take consistent and continuous actions. You have the choice to grow, learn, become the person you aspire and mastering your life. You are responsible for your decisions. When you know in which direction you want to go and the lifestyle you want to have you will manage yourself. And you will change.

When you change you grow.
